In 2006 we ran two trips to Argentina both of which were hugely popular. This year there will be just 1 trip but with greater flexibility. We will be travelling a little earlier and offering a basic trip of 7 nights to the fabulous Llao Llao resort in Patagonia followed by 4 nights in Buenos Aires. After these 11 nights we will offer 4 optional extras that will enable you to see everything Argentina has to offer. You can opt for 1, 2, 3 or even all 4 of them. Argentina is the hottest new tourist destination. Great golf courses, wonderful hotels, spectacular scenery and superb restaurants. The people are really friendly and although the country is poor the atmosphere is totally unthreatening. But best of all the cost of living is cheap Two fillet steaks and a bottle of wine will set you back £15. Buy a pair of handmade leather shoes for £30 or a new handbag. But we are going for the golf. The British railway constructors built most courses, and the architects are familiar names like McKenzie and Hawtree. Mostly wonderful parkland courses. We fly from Gatwick to Buenos Aires via Madrid on Aerolineas Argentinas and then straight down to Barlioche, where we will stay in the world famous Llao Llao resort. With the Andes Mountains for a backdrop and a lake in front, the spectacularly scenic golf course winds through the forest and down to the lake. We have 7 nights of pampering here with 2 rounds of golf. We will also play 2 rounds on the latest addition in the area, the equally spectacular Arelauquen. No trip to South America is complete without a few days in Buenos Aires and we will be staying in the Caesar Park Hotel in ritzy La Recoleta district. Wonderful shopping and restaurants are within walking distance in this beautiful city known as the “Paris of the South”. We will stay 4 nights here and play the final 2 rounds of golf at Pilar and Los Olivos. You can then fly home or if you would rather extend your stay you can choose from these fabulous tours: The Falls of Iguazu. This 2-night trip takes you to the tropical northeast to see one of the greatest sights in the world – the waterfalls of Iguazu. The trip includes a full day tour through the rainforest and walks along the top of the falls before going down to the river and onto a high speed launch that takes you into the spray.
